Introduction to Pilates Package

  • One-time offer for new clients, must be completed 2 weeks from first session
  • $375 for six 55-minute private sessions
  • $250/person for six 55-minute duet sessions (you should arrange a partner for yourself)
  • Fulfills the prerequisites for all beginner level Pilates classes

This package is your jump-start to Pilates and will have you feeling like a pro in no time. The 6 sessions are booked over 2 consecutive weeks according to your availability. Coming 3 times a week lets you see how Pilates can change your body the way Joseph Pilates intended. Once your Intro Package is complete, you will be cleared to join all of our beginner-level Pilates classes or you can continue with private lessons.

Intro to Equipment

  • Each session is 55 minutes and limited to 4 people
  • Single sessions are $38 or 1 session from an Equipment Class Card
  • 4 sessions fulfill the prerequisites for equipment classes

This class strengthens your core and improves alignment with exercises on the Reformer, Cadillac, Chair and Mat, but at a slower pace than the Beginner Pilates Equipment classes. In addition to learning a full program of beginner exercises, you will be taught how to set up the equipment for your body and which spring settings to use for each exercise.

Pilates Mat Classes

  • Classes are 45-50 minutes in length and limited to 14 people

Intro to Pilates Mat:
The traditional Pilates floor work sequence strengthens and stretches your entire body while decompressing your spine and improving posture, leaving you energized and refreshed. Our Intro to Mat class introduces you to the principles of the Pilates Method while waking up your deep abdominal and spinal muscles and teaching you how to modify the workout to a level appropriate for you. Lots of individual attention is provided to make brand-new beginners feel at ease while not-so-new beginners perfect their form and further strengthen their core.

Prerequisite: None. We recommend, but do not require, that you schedule at least one private session or our Intro to Pilates Package prior to joining your first mat class.

Open Level Mat:
Knowledge of the fundamentals learned in Intro to Pilates mat will be challenged with a fuller repertoire of exercises. Attention will be paid to working the arms and legs in addition to the “core” muscles. Expect to improve your knowledge of proper body alignment, balance and control while engaging in a flowing, dynamic, full-body workout.

Prerequisite: At least 20 – 30 Intro to Pilates Mat classes or the Intro to Pilates package.

Pilates Mat with Props:
This class allows students of a strong Intermediate Pilates mat level to add variety, interest and challenge to their workout by using the Magic Circle, stability balls, small balls and Thera-bands to work the abdominals, legs, butt and arms to the max. Strength and stamina are emphasized -- come prepared to sweat, but realize that the props also enhance the fun. A sense of humor is therefore required!

Prerequisite: Intermediate Pilates Mat level means you are accepting and mastering the challenges in Open Level Mat. We recommend 20-30 Open Level Mat classes prior to joining this level.

Intermediate/Advanced Mat:
This class will flow with a much faster pace than the Open Level classes. Advanced exercises will be introduced as you modify the Intermediate level exercises you learned in Open Level Mat to make them more challenging.

Prerequisites: At least 20-30 Open Level Mat and/or Pilates Mat with Props classes

Pilates Total Fitness:
Looking to get a new challenge for your body? This class starts with 10-15 minutes of mat work to warm up your abdominals, and then quickly moves into stability and weight exercises to increase your body tone. Thigh and seat exercises are included, as well as a series of stretching to create a full-body workout.

Prerequisites: We recommend 5-10 Beginner Pilates Mat classes but there are no formal prerequisites.

Pilates Equipment Classes

  • Classes are 55 minutes in length and are kept intentionally small.

Beginner Pilates Equipment:
Get your pilates workout the way Joseph Pilates intended, working on all of the apparatus(Reformer, Cadillac, Tower, Chair and Mat) in a systematic fashion, sharing the instructor’s attention with only 3-4 other students. In addition to challenging your “core” from different angles and in different positions (lying down, sitting, kneeling, standing), this class will teach you how to modify the exercises to suit your level.

Prerequisite: 4 Fundamentals of Equipment classes OR 3 privates OR our Intro to Pilates package

Intermediate Pilates Equipment:
Build on the fundamentals learned in the beginner equipment level and deepen your understanding of the movements while working strength, stamina, stability and flexibility. At this level, both the body and mind are challenged to stay alert and focused, as more emphasis is placed on maintaining the flow of the workout with dynamic transitions. A great full-body workout!

Prerequisite: At least 20-30 beginner equipment classes or an instructor’s permission.

Pilates Tower:
Find a deeper connection to your Powerhouse in a class that combines Pilates beginner mat work with exercises on the Tower or Wall Unit. The added resistance provided by the Tower springs encourages the development of strength and stability, and will help you take your mat work to the next level. Beginner mat students often report that their first Tower class enabled them to feel how Pilates is truly a full-body workout.

Prerequisite: 10-20 Pilates Mat classes at level

Pilates Tower & Chair
Find a deeper connection to your Powerhouse in a class that combines Pilates mat work with exercises on the Tower as well as the Chair. This class will really challenge your stability and core strength!

Prerequisite: Intermediate Pilates Equipment experience is required.
