Yoga I:
Designed for the beginning yoga student as well as more experienced
practitioners who are looking to slow down and deepen their practice.
You will learn the fundamentals of yoga and build a solid foundation
of basic yoga postures. Each class will cover the principles of
proper alignment in the poses, breathing to energize and refresh,
deep relaxation and how the philosophy of yoga can support you
in everyday life.
Prerequisite: None required, although we recommend starting
with our Intro to Yoga series, Intro to Yoga workshop, or one private
session.
Yoga II:
This class for intermediate and advanced students will emphasize
strength, stamina and mindfulness. The poses learned in Level I
are explored more in depth and more challenging postures are introduced,
including inversions. Special attention is paid to discovering
how breath work can support you in a pose and practicing the connection
between the physical and energetic body. This class will include
more transitions between poses for a more active practice.
Prerequisite: At least 20-30 classes or 6 months at the beginner
level.
Yoga Mixed Levels:
A mixed-level class where ample variations and modifications are
given to allow students to practice at their own level. You'll
continue to deepen your body awareness, practice safe alignment
and explore your edge while honoring how your body feels that day.
Prerequisite: None, but the Intro to Yoga Series is recommended.
Flow Yoga:
This is a challenging, active class designed to build strength, stamina
and flexibility while providing a balanced full-body workout. Perfect
for those who want to enjoy yoga in a powerful, expressive way.
