What is Pilates?

Joseph Pilates developed his exercise system in the 1920s as a means to achieving optimal health—a sound body and mind. A Pilates workout will increase strength, flexibility and energy levels. It offers a way to lengthen, realign and redefine the body while improving posture, balance and coordination, easing chronic pain, and focusing the mind. Pilates workouts can be performed using specially designed equipment and/or simply mats.

Our private and semi-private training combines both mat and apparatus work in each session. Class sizes are kept intentionally small so all may receive individual instruction for maximum results and safety. Adults of all ages and fitness levels can learn and benefit from Pilates.
