Advanced Mat with Bonnie
Bethesda Studio

Have fun and get a great workout in this challenging full advanced mat! This class is open to teachers and strong clients who are familiar with the advanced exercises. Experience the cueing and tempo of a class format we don't get to teach as often as we would like. Come prepared to move, and probably to sweat!


Intro to Yoga Series with Liz
Bethesda Studio

Brand new to yoga? We will give you a thorough introduction to the principles of yoga, breathing techniques, stretching postures and deep relaxation in a fun, stress-free environment. Step-by-step instructions, demonstration, and individual attention will make you feel at ease while providing you with the tools you need to modify poses to be more or less challenging. The class meets once per week for a period of four weeks.


Thera-Band: Strengthen Your Pilates Routine! with Marla
Using Thera-Bands to advance pilates exercises to the max, this workshop will give you the resistance strengthening you have been looking for! Maximize your workout and learn exercises you can take home with you!


Get on the Ball
This workshop will allow you to challenge your balance by using different size balls. This will force you to recruit your body's deepest stabilizing muscles, which will be both fun yet humbling and playful yet challenging.


Pilates for Golf
Stretch, tone, and strengthen your Core to get you golf swing in peak condition! In this hour and half workshop, Marla will go through golf exercise and stretches to hit the ball farther and straighter, as well as warm-ups to prevent injury.


Yoga Nidra
Yoga Nidra is a profoundly healing, transformative practice in which we learn to deeply relax on every level of our being. This workshop is designed for anyone who is curious about Yoga Nidra and experienced practitioners, and open to everyone regardless of Hatha yoga experience. We will begin with a brief overview of Yoga Nidra, then for a full hour you will be guided through a Yoga Nidra relaxation session. Yoga Nidra releases tension and relaxes you more thoroughly than conventional sleep. In fact, one hour of Yoga Nidra is as restful as four hours of regular sleep. Not only is it relaxing, but a regular practice of Yoga Nidra transforms us by removing blocks and tension from our unconscious minds. Research has shown that Yoga Nidra enhances creativity, vitality, and our ability to achieve our highest potential, as well as being an effective treatment in illnesses ranging from depression to asthma to heart disease.
